5.2 Earthquake Strikes Near Kajun Newsroom

A major earthquake struck this afternoon just 150 miles south of the Kajun Newsroom.

The quake registered 5.2 on the Ricther scale...Mrs. Richter registers a whopping 335 on that same scale.

There were no injuries reported, because--as usual-- no one was working on Friday afternoon at Kajun News. We had no idea it was an earthquake...we thought my Grandson, Seth had just dropped one of his size 13 shoes.

Dishes rattled in the kitchen as Mrs. Kajun prepared supper.

Wowie, Zowie! You have a grandson with size 13 shoes??? Does he wear 'em or live in 'em?? That must be one big bouncing baby boy! (OK, so maybe he ain't a baby anymore, eh?) You take care of yourself now Kajun, ya hear?

Wishing you and Mrs. Kajun all the best. I'll be in touch when I get back from London.

Warmest wishes,
Hawkeye®

I lived in Los Angeles for a spell in the 70's, during which time there were 5 earthquakes there. I didn't feel any of 'em.

Funny thing though; I was staying the night there once in the 90's, on my way to a job in Asia, and was awakened by one.

Am I getting sensitive as the years go by?

With Mrs. Richter tipping the scales at that weight, the Mississippi River runs the risk of a major tsunami when she takes a load off her feet. Tell Ray to get the buses ready. Stat!

I guess Willie (Chocolate Factory) is right, God is mad at LA.
A couple of tornadoes, now an earthquake. That darn Bush/Rove weather machine must be back in working order!

I lived through earthquakes in LA and Turkey. Didn't like them much in either place. The worst was in Oakland where I was in the bathroom and it scared the....well, you get the idea.

Then I moved to Ohio and saw were the big one came, knocked holes in the Bay Bridge and pancaked the roads on which I used to drive on top of each other!

However, that Mrs Richter scares me the most.

Keep up the good work.

Hi Kajun
Had a little "shake up" did you?
The last time I got on the scales it read "next time come alone".
