Texas to have Chocolate Governor?

According to reliable sources, one of Dallas' newest residents has thrown his do-rag in the ring, to run for the office of Governor of Texas as a Democrat, this year.
Former New Orleans Mayor C.(chocolate)Ray Nagin has already accumulated 12 ballot boxes stuffed with Democrat votes, and is confident he will win the Governorship of Texas, this year, said our highly-placed Kajun News Snitch.
My first act, after I am elected, will be to revert The State of Texas back to a Republic, said Nagin. It will be a Chocolate Republic only until we can get rid of all the Illegal Aliens from New Orleans, he further stated.

Maybe Nagin can be Governor of Texas and Mayor of Nawlins at the same time? That way, he can offer Texas the same lack of services he provided to Nawlins. And the beauty of it is, since he provides a lack of services, he can telecommute to Nawlins from Texas! Nothing could be better than that... except perhaps for 12 ballot boxes of Democratic votes. (Good one Kajun).
Was this an April fools joke or something? I have seen CamoJack in a do rag but never Nagin. Is a ballot box bigger than a bread box? Could he be hiding some of those 10,000 floating bodies in there as a surprise campaign revelation?
